About the webcomic

Keskibyroo is written and drawn by me, Juhani Keskinen.

I started making comics during the summer 2012 to pass the time since I couldn't move a lot because of a hurt knee. I've always enjoyed making people laugh with silly little jokes, and a comic is a great medium because of the short production time from the idea to finished comic.

Thus it's sad that I draw very badly. I started from the scratch (who doesn't?) and I haven't made much progress. I'm basing my hopes on people presuming the "art" intentionally badly drawn and "cute".

Like the drawings your mom puts on the fridge.

Some comics are only in Finnish and some only in English because lots of the jokes are purely linguistic and thus untranslatable.

About the author

Yeah, so I'm a Finnish dude. I was born in 1977 and I currently live in Jämsä, Finland. I've done various things in my life, like studied physics, worked as an engineer, and and practiced zen full-time. I like to listen to music, as well as play it, to sit, to play computer games, to cook, and to play football (as soon as my knee gets better).

Some comics I like:

The Far Side by Gary Larson
Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson
xkcd by Randall Munroe
Penny Arcade by Mike Krahulik and Jerry Holkins

Fingerpori by Pertti Jarla
Yhesti yhes paikas and other comics by Ville Pirinen
